“Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” Proverbs 27:1

We are to live in God’s moments. He knows the plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11). We are fools to think we can lay up things for the future and believe we have it all figured out. “And I will say to my soul, “soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease’ eat, drink and be merry.  But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’”   Luke 12:19-20

Confidence and hope in anything other than Jesus is foolishness. He will satisfy and provide for you.   

“Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” James 4:17
