Why are you surprised when people are offended? This should come as no surprise. People were offended by Jesus, “So they were offended at Him.

But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” Mathew 13:57

Many will be offended if their hearts and minds are not renewed. They will feel convicted and not want to hear the message that you bring forward. However, God’s word does not go away void. It will fourish when the time is right. “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
