Stuck in the Mud?

I was reminded of an old hymn that talks about the miry clay. I investigated to find out all I could about miry clay. Have you ever been stuck in the mud to the point where you were disappearing in the mud? Miry clay sucks you in. It is hard to pull yourself out.

Sometimes when we have experienced a loss we can get stuck in the miry clay of depression, discouragement or a state of no hope. God is always there to give us a hand and pull us out of that slippery mess.

“…and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.”
