Stronghold

Stronghold

Do you have a stronghold? Anything that does not allow the fullness of the spirit to work in and through your life could be a stronghold.

Strongholds or bondages may not be as evident as we like. The reason being is that you may see it as part of who you are. Take a step back, put your magnifying glass to work. Look at your family. What do you see in your family that may have been passed down to you (jealousy, Pride (including insecurity and inferiority), heaviness (depression, rejection, self-pity), bitterness, resentment, sexual struggles, fear, addiction, ungodly beliefs, anger, depression, anxiety, control, compulsiveness, etc?

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.  The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Cor 10:3-5

Once you have identified any strongholds, ask for forgiveness from Jesus and declare that you want no part of it and ask Him to take it.

Declare that God is your stronghold, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2
