Stressed out?

Stress is the bodies response to harmful situations, whether they are real or not. Some stress in your life is expected. Work gets busy, and deadlines are approaching, your children are overly active and not behaving, or even finances become tight, and you are trying to determine how to pay the bills.

My stress level went over the top one day when I had relatives visiting and they had left a bag with cool aid packages in it. My dog really enjoyed the cool aid. When I arrived home and opened the door to my house. I knew everywhere my dog had been that day. There was red cool aid paw prints all over my wall to wall white carpets. Was my stress level up? I would say so. I had to step outside and shut the door so I wouldn’t strangle the dog.

However, long term stress can have a negative impact on your life.

God has the solution, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:6-8

Give all the stress to God. He will keep you in perfect peace if your mind is stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3).
