I remember my dad telling me stories of having to walk five miles home from school each day. He was always afraid that the bears would come out of the woods. He said that He stayed on the path that was before him and did not wander off. As a result, he always made it home safely.
God also directs us to stay on His path so that we can make it home.
“You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.” Deuteronomy 5:33 NKJV
“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Psalms 16:11 NIV
