“Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.” Acts 27:31
We cannot afford to go beyond the bounds of the one who keeps us safe. We must stay in the ship, or as my coach used to say, when he saw us going astray get your head in the game.
I played basketball in High School, point guard. I was responsible for driving the plays, being the coach on the court. Every member of the team was essential to win the game. As a Christian, the same is true. We are part of the body of Christ and each of us is critical in serving the Lord. If one member of the body does not have their head in the game, the opponent could possibly overcome us.
Our spirit, soul and body must be focused on one thing, our LORD.
“From whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Eph 4:16
“Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.” 1 Samuel 12:24
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Rev 12:11
