We are to watch and pray.  Jesus asked the disciples to do just this: watch and pray.  Yet, they could not stay awake.

“Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?”  Mathew 26:40

The hour is coming when Christ will return.  We do not want to be falling asleep on the Job.

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”  Mathew 25:13
