Spiritual Marriage Counseling?
We see in the scripture many times where the church is represented as the bride and Jesus as the bridegroom. (Rev 2:9) So, in reality, how is the bride doing when it comes to being faithful to wedding vows?
We promise to love the Lord with all of our soul, mind and body; always being faithful to Him. What happens when we take our eyes off of Jesus and start lusting over, money, prestige, and doing things “our way”? What happens when we don’t talk to Him anymore and rely on our self-sufficiency? What happens when we do not adore Him like we used to, and other things and other people become more important?
When these situations develop in a physical marriage, there is usually trouble in the long run. Many times marriage counseling is advised. So, how do we get back to the relationship that we had on that glorious day when our Hero saved us? Go back to the instructions and read, “common problems you may encounter”, in your manual; the Bible.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:16,17 NKJV
