Sometimes God Waits to Answer Prayer, Why?

As I was cutting my grass today between rain storms, I asked the Lord to hold off on the rain when I felt a raindrop and saw a dark cloud above me. It never rained and the cloud blew away.

I began to think about answers I get to my prayers. Sometimes the answers are immediate and other times a long wait may occur. As I pondered, I thought of someone who prayed all day and at the end of the day God spoke to him. He asked God why He hadn’t spoke sooner, and God answered, “I wanted to spend time with you.” God created us for fellowship with Him.

“Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, ‘Where are you?’”
