Have you been rejected? Rejection is one of the deepest pains you can experience and may lead to a broken heart.
“The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?” Proverbs 18:14
Rejection is a deep heart wound and may even hurt worse than a physical injury. It is a feeling of not being loved, belonging, accepted, lonely, and abandoned. When the door of rejection is opened, you may also find fear (fear of rejection), shame and control.
The remedy is love and the work of the cross, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
Jesus experienced rejection on the Cross (Isaiah 53:5). He took all rejection and blessed us with acceptance.
“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” Ephesians 1:8
