I have heard so many people claim sicknesses and diseases from their ancestors like it is a blessing. “My father had cancer, and I will probably get cancer or diabetes runs in my family.” These diseases are not blessings; they are a curse, a generational curse.What are we inheriting?

Jesus died on the cross so that we could share in His inheritance. “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14

Ask the Lord to forgive your sins, your ancestor’s sins and ask the Lord to take away any sickness and diseases.

Lord, you have heard the cry of your people. They want to be set free. Forgive their sins and their ancestor’s sins and loose them from the curse. Heal them from the top of their head to the bottom of their feet. Lord, I thank you for being the curse so we might receive the blessings. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
