Separated/Divorced

Many have given God separation papers and others a divorce decree. The words of separation speak for themself, “I will do this on my own; I will do what I want; I will resolve all my own problems; I will go to church at home, who needs to be with other believers; or I will be the master of my own destiny.

Satan lost his place in heaven due to pride, Check-out the five “I wills” of destruction, “For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Isaiah 14:13-14. These five I wills led to Satan’s down fall, “Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit.” Isaiah 14:15

Rebellion and pride continue to pull many believers away that do not want to lay down their lives to God, “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6

Separation without change leads to an open door for increasing measures of sin to enter and the divorce proceedings to start.

“You adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world renders himself an enemy of God.” James 4:4

“…Your children have forsaken Me And sworn by those that are not gods. When I had fed them to the full, Then they committed adultery (become one with another).” Jeremiah 5:7

“Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.” Isaiah 55:7
