Jesus said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Mark 2:17
Jesus is implying that there is a relationship between those who are sick and those who sin.
Jesus came to sanctify us and make us whole and complete in Him. Sanctify means to make Holy.
Sin separates us from God, ourselves and others. Now, you may be saying, I am a believer, and Jesus took all my sins at the cross. Yes, He did when you accepted Him as your savior. However, if we do not continue in the sanctification process, to be made holy we open ourselves up to sin. “All unrighteousness (wrongfullness (of character, life or act)) is sin” 1 John 5:17
The first step to healing is to come to the Lord and repent of anything that He is bringing to mind and then press on to sanctification by the washing of His word (Ephesians 5:26); read your Bible. As you read your Bible, it is reading you and showing you the areas in your life that need to be transformed.
