If you are seeking healing, who are you seeking healing from? God is our healer. On my 50th birthday, I received a call from the doctor, and she said Your tests came back, and you have osteoporosis, the bones of an 80-year-old. What a present I received that day.
I thought how could this be…. My husband had died the year before, and now I won’t be able to walk soon. I am thankful that the Lord led me to the root of the problem.
“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Proverbs 17:22
A broken spirit dries the bones up. My heart was broken and needed healing. God’s word not only diagnosed the problem but gave me the solution to the problem. I needed my heart healed; I needed a merry heart again.
I needed what Jesus had to offer; He came to give me “The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3
Trust God’s word to heal you. He is faithful!
“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.”
Isaiah 53:5
