Saved always?

“I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me

In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy;

I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord.” Hosea 2:19-20

You have been set apart in a covenant relationship with God. He has made his commitment to you. Have you done your part?

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.” Rev 19:7

Have you made yourself ready? God’s overall intent in this covenant relationship is that you shall know Him.

In the parable of the ten virgins (five wise and five foolish), notice they all had lamps. But the five wise virgins had prepared, filled their lamps, and had jars of oil (Holy Spirit). The foolish Virgin’s lamps went dark; what little oil they had ran out, and they had to get oil. Ephesians 5:18 tells us to be filled with the spirit.

“But while they were on their way to buy the oil (foolish virgins), the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’ “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” Mathew 25:10-13

Do you know God? He wants you to be ready, seek to know Him today and “Be dressed ready for service (“put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Eph 4:24) and keep your lamps burning…” Luke 12:35
