‘As you, therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7

Paul talks about being rooted in Christ. When we are rooted in Christ, We are grounded and steady, and nothing can shake us. We are not anxious; there are no uncertainties. We are strengthened in faith, and we are obedient to the teaching of Christ’s word. We should be progressing in faith.

Sometimes, God uproots us from what we have been planted in so we can be rooted in Christ.

Paul then talks about being built up in Christ and the benefits of walking with the Lord. He leads us to have joy, peace, and hope, and we grow in faith.

Beware, the world is going to try to uproot you.
