“Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 1:3

This Christmas season, this year, you may have felt like you were going through the motions, anxious for it to be over, and you may even have strayed from your devotion to God. Even when we are not faithful, He remains faithful (2 Tim 2:13). The Lord is committed to you.   

Notice the words the Lord uses, “return.”  This would imply you left the Lord; your heart has left the Lord.   We can so easily get caught up in the things of this world and depart from the Lord.  Repent and return to God.  

“So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.”  Joel 2:13
