Renewed youth

On my fifth birthday, I received a call from my doctor. There were no Happy Birthday wishes, just shocking, bad news. She wanted to see me in her office right away. I asked her what was going on. She said the bone scan had revealed I had the bones of an eighty-year-old. I had osteoporosis. I not only had osteoporosis, I had arthritis, autoimmune disease, allergies, heart valve issues, addictions, OCD tendencies, and I had had a stroke.

I sought answers in God’s word. I consumed God’s word like medicine (

Proverbs 4:20-24) every day.

What I found provided the answers and healing I needed.

“A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.” Proverbs 17:22

I had a broken spirit. The hurt within me was great, and I needed to forgive those who hurt me, and I needed to forgive myself.

In the following year, I sought like never before the Lord to heal me. I had another bone scan. And the osteoporosis was utterly gone, and my bones were the bones of 20 to 30 years old. God not only healed me, He renewed and restored me. Today, I have no allergies or autoimmune diseases, no arthritis, I have recovered fully from a stroke, no addictions, and no compulsions. We have a God who loves us so much He renews our youth, “So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:5

If God can do this for me, He can do it for you. He is no respecter of people (Acts 10:34). He is your life line!
