Rend your heart and not your garments

As you walk the streets today we see many with holes in their clothes, is there an underlying message that is being unspoken here. We see in the Bible tearing of clothes was an outward expression of mourning, pain, suffering and loss.

Are the young adults of today crying out? And who do they cry out to? Idols are being raised up; and serving or worshipping God is seen as foolishness.

The Lord wants their hearts. He wants to bind up all the wounds. He wants repentance, a turning to Him.

“Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.” Joel 2:13

Lord, I ask in the name of Jesus that You draw the youth of today to You. Move in a mighty way to heal their hearts and minds. Give them revelation of who You are Lord. Give them the eyes of understanding. Raise up Your army Lord. Thank You, Jesus, for what you are going to do. We praise You Jesus!
