Why is there no recovery for God’s people?   

“Is there no balm in Gilead, Is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery For the health of the daughter of my people?”  Jeremiah 8:22

The people had what could heal them, yet they were still not healed.  Why are Christians today not walking in health?  If we are God’s children and He is the Great Physician, then why do we not see widespread healings?   Afterall God’s word says,  “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”  1 Peter 2:24

Like Jeremiah’s day, people are not turning to God.  We need to turn to God, repent and seek Him with our whole heart.  God has already given us everything we need to be in health.  

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”  3 John 1:2
