On this cold frosty morning, I let my dogs out and expected them to do their business and come in quickly. One of my dachshunds did not return. When I looked out, I saw him sitting in the middle of three trees that had grown together. He was about three feet off the ground. He was perched up high able to see all that he was hunting at a distance.
What came to mind is that, as Christians, we are also seated in a high place. We have been raised to sit with Christ Jesus, “raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” Ephesians 2:6. The earth is not our home.
