Promises, Promises

In our day a promise doesn’t seem like the contract it used to be. But, God is unchanging and His promises are true and everlasting. Scripture is full of them. But the promises of blessing are for those who choose to love, worship and make God, Lord of their lives.

When we belong to a community pool and pay our dues to go there, we have certain privileges that people do not have that have not paid to join. In the same way, we as believers have promises that God gives only to His children.

“by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”  II Peter 1:4  NKJV
