When a disaster strikes, we need to stand firm. Are you prepared? As I watch the news about Hurricane Harvey, my heart is grieved. Many were most likely not prepared to weather the storm. The Bible warns Christians over and over again that we are going to suffer. It gives us very clear steps to prepare for life’s storms.

“His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises” 2 Peter 1:3-4.

Notice we have already been given all things about life and godliness; they can be found in the promises.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
