Does God always answer our prayers? This is a difficult question to answer. On the one hand, I would say yes, if it is God’s will.
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15
However, Peter tells us that a husband’s prayers can be hindered if he is not treating his wife as he should. “Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.” 1 Peter 3:7
We are to be persistent in prayer (Eph 6:18) even when we have not seen the manifestation of our prayer, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Mathew 7:7-8
