So many bring forward the Lord’s word so that you feel good, have an emotional high.  Yet, that is not God’s intent.   God doesn’t want you on an emotional roller coaster, good one moment and fearing, raging, and frustrated the next.   He wants you to be stable and steadfast in Him, to have self-control, and to keep your mind and heart on Him.

Paul tells us, “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”  Romans 8:6

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”  Romans 12:2
