P.S. I had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Are you living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)? Maybe I should rephrase the question, are you trying to overcome PTSD? I was diagnosed with PTSD two years ago. The diagnoses came shortly after my husband’s murder in the Navy Yard Shooting.   Whenever I grieved my husband’s death, I would have an attack.

The Bible says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” John10:10. I was slowly being killed, as a matter of fact, I attempted to take my life during a PTSD attack.  God saved me, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13.

God’s Word was my only medicine.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 NKJV

Jesus said, “…He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;” Isaiah 61:1

Through the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ, I have been set free.
