“Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.” 2 Corinthians 2:10-11
Who has the upper hand in your life? Deception is the enemy’s game. Not forgiving can have far more significant consequences than you may think. It gives the enemy (Satan) the upper hand, an open door into your life. As Christians, we cannot be possessed by the devil (demons), but we can be oppressed.
Is there someone you need to forgive? Who may have caused a deep hurt in your life, and whenever you think of the event, your stomach turns. This type of hurt is a soul wound; the first step to healing is deciding to forgive, “I will forgive.”
Ask the Lord to help you today. We are told to pray, “…forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” scripture goes on to say,
“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Mathew 6:12-14
Do not let Satan outwit you; it is your move!
