Out of Control

So many today struggle to control emotions, reactions, behaviors, etc. They feel out of control. They are like the Apostle Paul, “For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.” Romans 7:19  This is a real struggle and most will continue to struggle until Christ controls their thought life.

The areas that you struggle with the most is considered to be a stronghold.

So what are you to do? Galatians 5:16-17 gives us guidance, “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.” Make a firm decision to walk with Christ. Submit, resist and the enemy will flee (James 4:7).

Proclaim as David did, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.” 2 Samuel 22:2-3
