Our Protection

Do you remember getting upset when you were a little child when your parents did not allow you to go out of the yard? They knew you were not mature enough to watch out for cars coming down the street. You may have been offended, but they did it out of love for your protection.

As we read God’s word we may become offended by what it says. God loves us so much that anything He restricts from us is surely for our protection. When Jesus walked the earth many were offended because they could not tolerate the truth He spoke. So, as we read God’s word we can look at it as a love letter from God with His best intentions, and His word is always true.

“As it is written: ‘Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, and whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.’”  Romans 9:33  NKJV
