Our Inner Child

There are many people that have experienced all types of abuse when they were little children. I heard a story of a woman who had been abused and as she was going through a healing process by prayer, she was asked to envision Jesus holding her. It was difficult for her to imagine getting close to a man, but as she encountered Jesus, she felt His overwhelming love and she trusted Him as she allowed Him to hold her in His arms. Jesus loves us and most of all He loves the little children.

“Then the little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.’”  Matthew 19:13,14  NKJV
