On one hand

I had a teacher in high school that said to the class if you have five friends (true friends); you know the type, the ones that would drop everything and be there for you, then you are blessed.

I always thought wow… can I count five true friends… then my husband was killed; the church and community came out to support me in a powerful way.

We have a friend in Jesus. If we have Him alone, we are blessed.  Once we have Jesus as a friend, He brings who we need into our lives.

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13

“No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”  John 15:15
