There are things that happen in the physical, and we say that nothing will ever be the same. A loss of a loved one, divorce, a child walks away from the Lord, loss of finances, etc.  

At the same time, there are things happening in the spiritual, and nothing will ever be the same as well. We must during these times keep our focus on the things that are unseen.  

“while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Cor 4:18
