Not as it should be

Do you continually find that you are struggling? Things breaking, health problems, family disputes. This is not as it should be.

Generational curses may be in play. According to The Gospel Coalition, a “generational curse describes the cumulative effect on a person of things that their ancestors did, believed, or practiced in the past, and a consequence of an ancestor’s actions, beliefs, and sins being passed down.”

God is a just God and “… he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.” Exodus 34:7

These curses can be broken. You need to confess your sins and your ancestors sins and ask for forgiveness. Jesus was the curse that hung on the cross and it is through His death that you are forgiven and the curse broken.

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),  that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14
