As you encounter different challenges, losses in life, you may seek comfort from someone you believe may understand; such as friends, support groups or family members. However, disappointment and frustration may set in when you realize that no one really understands what you have gone through. You may feel all alone.
Job spoke these words to his friends that tried to comfort him, “Miserable comforters are you all!” Job 16:2
Even King David sought comfort from others and found none,
“Reproach has broken my heart, And I am full of heaviness; I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.” Psalm 69:2
However, you are not alone, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand” Isaiah 41:10 NLT
Jesus understands everything that you went through and wants to bring you comfort.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,” 2 Cor 1:13
