Nighttime is the Hardest

Nighttime is the Hardest

Before my husband passed away, we would always read the Bible together, have devotions and pray for our children and extended family. I miss him the most before I go to bed because he is not there to pray and read with me. I think about his prayers, that even though he is still not here, all of those he has prayed for in the past, those prayers are still in motion.

He was a prayer warrior and his heart was burdened with the thought of people not knowing a deep relationship with God. He knew how special that relationship can be. He was a pastor and wanted the flock to grow to know more and more of God’s will for their individual lives. He prayed for his children and their spiritual growth.

So, now when I go to bed, even after he has been gone three years, I look at his place and remember how I miss him and the fellowship we had together in God’s word and prayer.

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

I John 1:7  NKJV
