My mom called a couple of days ago, and our calls can be long. You see my mom, and I are both widows. Needless to say, we share a lot of funny stories about God, our husband. She called to say the fog settled in. At times during grieving, it may feel like a fog has settled over your brain. The fog usually shows up around anniversaries; making processing difficult.
She continued to say that she has been relying on God a lot lately and that she lost her pants this morning. I thought where is this conversation going. She said, “I cried out to God for help after looking all over the house, and He showed me where to find them. Michelle, you need to make reservations with God.” Confused, I said, what? She said, “I am keeping God very busy. If you want to talk to him, you better make reservations.” We both laughed uncontrollably.
For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name, And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. Isaiah 54:5 NKJV
