My prayers will always be with you!

“My prayers will always be with you…” As I heard these words out of the mouth of an 82-year-old woman, my mother. I knew at that moment God was speaking through my mother. Our prayers carry no time limit. When we pray in Jesus name, and the intent is to glorify God, they will continue until fulfilled. ‘Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!’ John 14:14

Jesus Prays for All Believers

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 2I in them, and You in Me;that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.  And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:20-26

The last prayer before Christ went to the Cross. We can see the weight it carries, endless through time Here is the son, lifting up a sacrificial prayer to the Father knowing that He was going into a battle to glorify the Father, a personal battle on the cross. Not my will, but yours.

The prayer is a prayer for all believers who will ever be. Jesus prays for unity in the body, sanctification, that we carry on His works, and God’s love fills us.

Lord, make us one, as You, the Father and Holy Spirit are one. Heal our hearts, souls and minds so we can love you, our neighbor and glorify Your name. I pray this in Jesus name.
