There is a grace you do not know! I heard these words in my spirit over and over. What was the Lord trying to tell me? I know that grace is God’s unmerited favour on the undeserving and ill-deserving, and it came through His son Jesus, His death and resurrection. Jesus was the eternal sacrifice. He was born, died and was resurrected so I could live.
Yet, God was saying to me that there is more. “But he gives us more grace” James 4:6. How could there be more? Wasn’t the work on the cross more than enough? My mind pondered the words spoken by God.
Grace is, in some sense, the way God looks at us. Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord. We all want God’s favour and blessings. We all want His hand to be upon us. God was pulling me deeper to know Him, seek Him out, and become one with Him.
Grace is a gift from God. We can’t earn it. “For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Psalm 84:11. What a gift!
Scripture shows that Jesus, as a child, “grew and became strong in spirit.” filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.” Luke 2:40. Jesus was filled with God’s grace and was overflowing. When God looks upon us favourably, He fills us up so we can overflow to others, and they can see the invisible attributes of God. Was this the grace that I don’t know? Maybe, but there is more… Seek Him with your whole being so you can know (yada, to know God intimately) your God and please Him. Thank you, LORD, for teaching us so we can know (Yada) You more!
