Minimalism and the Christian life

Minimalism and the Christian life

In many ways, the Christian life can look like a minimalist. The minimalist lifestyle at its core means intentionally promoting the things you value the most and removing everything that distracts from it.

If we look at what the focus of the Christian life is, “‘Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Mathew 22:37-38

Now that we know our focus, how do we remove anything that distracts?

Pray for the Lord’s will to be done in your life. Confess sins and turn (Proverbs 28:13), forgive (Mark 11:25), pray for a clean heart (Psalm 51:10) and renew the mind (Romans 12:2).
