Lying Lips

The average number of a lies told per day is 1.65 per 1000 in a study done by a Michigan state university.

“Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.” Proverbs‬ ‭12:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Creative personalities were more likely to lie than their counterparts.

What causes people to lie? 

Jesus said, “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.” Mathew 15:18

Could it be that people don’t know their own heart and it is deceiving them?

Scripture says in Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah‬ ‭17:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.” ‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What is the solution? David cried out for deliverance from lying lips, ““Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.”
