Leroy Sachel Paige became the first African-American pitcher to pitch in the World Series. He was also known for several famous quotes, “Love like you have never been hurt” stands out in my mind. As I pondered this quote I realized that this is what our Lord did on the cross.

We are warned that offenses are going to come, “Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, …” Mathew 18:7

If we love like we have never been hurt, then the offense will be forgiven.

“He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends.” Proverbs 17:9
