I used to love the TV series Mission Impossible. A group of secret government agents were given instructions from a voice recording that after played would self-destruct. At this point, the agent had a choice, accept the mission or not.

God has also given us a choice, “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Mathew 22:14. Have you ever asked yourself why are few chosen? Like the agent in Mission Impossible, God calls us, invites us to serve Him. Few are chosen as a result of not being willing to accept the terms of the invitation, give up everything in this world.

“Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. ” Luke 9:23-24
