How can we express love this valentines day and more importantly everyday?  Many buy flowers, go out to dinner, buy gifts, etc.

The Apostle Paul clearly tells us how as Christian’s what our love should and should not look like “Love suffers long andis kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;  does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;  does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails…”  1 Cor 13:4-9

God is the example of love in the purest sense: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16.  

God sacrificed His only son.  If we want to exhibit true love, agape love, we need to lay down our lives as Christ laid down His.   “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”  Mathew 22:37-39
