We are going to travail a difficult subject. Loss of identity; identity in Christ.

We are made in the image of Christ (Gen 1:27), we are created as a man or as a woman, and we are beautifully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14.

We were created to marry and become one in Christ, Genesis 2:24 states: “Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.”

Any union (sexually active) that does not reflect this is sin. The bible says all unrighteousness is sin (1 John 5:17) or said another way, anything that does not proceed from faith is sin (Romans 14:23). Only the Holy Spirit can show you the truth of who you are in Christ. God says we are His children and we are holy, righteous and blameless in Christ Jesus.

If you are in a relationship outside of marriage (Adultress (Mathew 5:27-28), living together (fornication, 2 Cor 12:21), homosexual, or Bi-sexual (lev 20:13)), then confess this as a sin and turn from it. We have a loving God will forgive you. Jesus forgives us of our trespasses, “You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.” Col 2:13. Ask the Lord to forgive you today.
