Loss of Emotional Support

At times in our life, as we stand on the word of God as truth, we can be challenged by others around us who do not hold the same view. I was told by someone dear to me who believes in the Bible, and the comment about a Biblical principal was, “That is not what the church believes.” I immediately responded that Jesus said it, and I believe what Jesus says before I will believe what people say I should believe.

“And they were astonished at His [Jesus] teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Then they were all amazed, so they questioned among themselves, saying, ‘What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.’”
