Looking for a makeover?

This time of year many are looking for a makeover. They want to be a new person. However, many are looking for the exterior only. God wants to go deep, He wants the complete package.

“So get rid of your old self, which made you live as you used to—the old self that was being destroyed by its deceitful desires. Your hearts and minds must be made completely new, and you must put on the new self, which is created in God’s likeness and reveals itself in the true life that is upright and holy.” Ephesians 4:22-24 (GNT)

The old self wants things his way. Old man is corrupt, a rebel. The old self is being pulled by the things of this age – self-improvement, set of rules, etc.

Jesus death on the cross frees us from the old self, “And we know that our old being has been put to death with Christ on his cross, in order that the power of the sinful self might be destroyed, so that we should no longer be the slaves of sin.” Romans 6:6

Make a decision today to walk in all His ways.
