Look for Hidden Blessings

I thank the Lord at night that He has given me a warm bed to sleep. But, as I was making my bed this morning I noticed my sheets match my bed covering. I thanked the Lord again for this blessing because He knows how much pleasure it brings me to have the pattern on my sheets to match other things in my room. As I was folding my pajamas, I laughed out loud when I realized they matched my sheets as well.

These are just material blessings that I do not need, but enjoy. The greatest blessing I have is the love that Jesus has shown me when He gave His life sacrificially on the cross for me. His shed blood gives me power over sin and cleanses me so that I can be seen as righteous in God’s eyes. As I make Him Lord of my life, He blesses me abundantly.
