“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Cor 4:18
How can we look at something that is not there? This is the paradox. We all tend to spend an enormous amount of time looking at ourselves. As a matter of fact, we are encouraged by the world to focus on ourselves and our needs. Yet, as we take our eyes off what is seen, we see what God sees: spiritual, eternal things. The problems and challenges we face today are fleeting and temporary, but what is unseen we will have for an eternity. Refocus today on the eternal weight of Glory.
