Losing a spouse can bring significant loneliness. Loneliness is an emotional response as a result of the loss and the continued isolation and separation from others.
To combat loneliness you need to first remember that you are part of a family, “God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing;…” Psalm 68:6
Seek the Lord daily and commune with Him; find a church; and join a Christian group (grief share, Bible study, Sunday school class).
Trust the Lord with your whole heart, “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
